Well, so ends another birthday!
Thankyou to all those who sent me birthday wishes… much appreciated!
So I’m 23 now. Don’t feel much different. I only want to be 25 so I don’t have to pay such high car insurance.

Speaking of cars… I’ve decided that ‘Tasha (my ’91 Ford Laser) is on the way out, rather fast.
I’ve been thinking of a replacement car, and I can’t seem to get past Subaru, for quality and robustness, as well as towing capacity (for 1300kg gliding trailers) and maintenance requirements.
So I’m thinking either a Liberty or a Forester, which has just bought himself. Both are big cars, but I need something that can tow well. However, financing it of course is the problem… I’ve been looking at novated leases through work, or personal finance through the bank. Both have their ups and downs… I’ll probably do at least 20,000 km / year, so is it worth getting a novated lease? If you have any experience with these things, let me know!

I woke up this morning to a ring of the doorbell… it was a courier delivering Adam’s new British passport , which quite proudly displayed inside that he was now a British Citizen. Scary! So we’ve been having talks about going and living over there at some point in the next few years. We’ll see. I’ve been having a good run at work lately, and scoring brownie points, so I’m a bit hesitant about leaving Australia just yet. Maybe in a few years. We’ll see :-)

Anyway.. more to update tomorrow! Sleep for now.

‘night night my pretties!

Hi Everyone!

Much to update… has been really exciting few days!

In the meantime, I have just started to delve into the world of VOIP (Voice-over-IP) , which for you dunderheads is using a phone to call numbers through the internet.
I’m using Skype pre-paid… very cool considering I can call anywhere in the world for 3 cents a minute , with no flagfall. It’s cheaper to use it to call mobiles than my current Telstra plan.

So my pretties… if you have skype, please add us to your list!
The Skype username is adzngus (using a shared account)
Alternatively, click below!

Call me!

Get Skype and call me for free.

Also have a webcam! (scary stuff!)

Finally an update

It’s been a wierd last week or two.

Tonight is day 9 of my 10 day run of night shifts. Needless to say, I’m well an truly over it!
I can almost kiss any social interaction goodbye during this time. I turn my phone off during the day so I can sleep. And everybody is out on the town during the evening. Grrrr. I’m never agreeing to cover extra shifts again.

I’ve been feeling rather …wierd in these past few weeks. Rather insecure in fact.
Things between Adam and I have had ups and downs lately. One of the things he said lately is that I’ve changed for the worse in the last few months, since I’ve had this new job. And apparently my friends feel the same.

There have been some changes… I think I’ve become more confident, but generally happier. But instead people think I’m an arsehole.

Not sure what to do about this. I’ve noticed people talk to me less, on the phone and on MSN. Maybe I am becoming a horrible person.

*sighs*
I don’t get it.

I’m scared, people.

This latest story in the papers about embassies burning and people being killed because a cartoonist drew a picture of the prophet Mohammed, is very indicative of the way the world is at the moment.

People from all sides are becoming increasingly violent, and being blinded by their religious beliefs.
Evil is creeping back into the world, all in the name of religion.

Extremists from Islam are killing people and burning buildings because of a cartoon.
Christian / Xionist extremists want the middle east destroyed (can anyone here the march of the crusades? )
These are the same people that will vote in a government based on their moral ideals. Stuff whether they promise good health care, decent security and prosperity. As long as they don’t allow gays to marry. That’s the most vital thing.
Iran has cut all trade with Denmark, and are in the process of developing a nuclear program.

Tensions are building on all sides, and the only resolution people seem to reach is the destruction of anyone who doesn’t believe what they do.

It is truly a terrifying time, my friends. I believe the world is on the brink of entering a very very dark age.
It is such a pity… we have reached such a nexus in social development… we are able to share knowledge worldwide with a click of the fingers. We have the opportunity to become truly enlightened… see the world from a much wider perspective and perhaps even understand why we’re here.

But no.

We choose to close our minds and kill each other.
Bloody humans.
