Quite a lot of blogs out there have “purposes”, whatever that may be. Many are political, lambasting liberalism, gay rights, free dogs for the elderly, anything really that is a cause usually has a blog associated to it. Or there are sewing blogs, kniting blogs, blogs about running, jumping, swimming, horses, cats, everything.

I seem to have missed all of that… in fact, it’s very difficult to “categorise” my blog, and the few “blog directories” that have tried have put me under “self-improvement”.

Self-improvement?? Since when have I ever advocated that?

It’s quite ironic, because really I could have a blog devoted to many causes and hobbies…

The Political Blog
I could come from the angle that I’m a young (gay) man, bred a true Blue Liberal, and now losing the faith in both political parties and considering starting my own. I could post from my vantage point right here in Bennelong, the centrepiece for the upcoming election fight. I could even post photos of Shelton tearing up Maxine McKew pamphlets that somehow got used to line the bunny cage. Good Boy!!!!

The Gliding Blog
I’m a mad glider pilot, I believe getting high only happens at 8,000′. Who needs engines to fly fast? Photos, videos, cheerleader chants… I can have it all! Pictures of glider porn (Mmmm… the new LS-10 is sexy!) .. I got it all !

The Outrageously Gay Blog
Boys a-Plenty! Blonde, twinky, and half-naked. Posts about gay this, gay that. Support my rainbow flag, biatches, or I’ll post mean bitchy things about you!
Every day could be able some guy I was checking out, my newfound sexual position not mentioned in the Gay Karma Sutra. Plus, gossip gossip gossip !!!

The Homogenous Suburbanite Housewife
Life from the suburbs in Ryde, the new-age family of two men and a dog. Still monogamous after 3.5 years, marriage on the cards in the not-so-distant future. Fine wines, nice scotch, a Subaru, and a BBQ. If only we could afford the house we’re living in, it’d be a dream come true.

The Television Blog
What’s new in TV? What’s hip? Why are the broadcasters not pulling their weight. From the mouth of a broadcast engineer, what are the networks doing any why? What new technologies are out there? Bring on IPTV!

Excluding the last genre (which I dare not do due to my profession), I like to think my blog is a mix of all things. Should I concentrate on one genre? Maybe just screw it all, I’ll be a jack-of-all trades. Tell me now if you think there’s something I should blog about more often.

MEANWHILE, we are still lacking entries for Adam’s survey… whilst some people are doing it, we really need ways and motivations for people to pass it on. We’ve learnt that it’s a lot harder now he’s not an honours student… people just treat it likely another market research survey. We’re actually learning first-hand why nobody else in the country has done this kind of research. A) If AC Nielson or some other large research company rang you during dinner and you didn’t tell them to sod off, would you admit to them that you downloaded TV content, and be confident it’s anonymous? b) People just don’t offer their opinions willingly. I’m going to continue writing emails to people I know, asking them to pass it around. If you haven’t filled it out already please take the time to visit the site below.
